Job Description
The Recruiter is responsible to work closely with hiring managers to define requirements and open and post positions as needed. This role will be expected to research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The Recruiter provides the first level of screening (resume review, assessments, and initial phone screens) of all applicants before they are sent to the manager for review, and then facilitates an effective hiring process that ensures all applicable laws are followed and that there is equal opportunity for all.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Lead weekly meetings with hiring managers to review position needs and drive quick response time in each stage of the hiring process and thorough assessment of candidates
  • Write and update job descriptions and job postings as needed
  • Post all needed positions via ATS and ensure they are fed to appropriate job boards and state job banks as required
  • Leverage social media (Facebook, LinkedIn) to post positions and source candidates
  • Manage careers page of the website
  • Proactively source candidates for positions as needed
  • Screen and vet initial applicants to determine who to move forward in the hiring process
  • Facilitate sending assessments to candidates as a step in the hiring process and track results
  • Work with managers to determine appropriate compensation for positions to ensure appropriate alignment of employees within pay bands
  • Create, send and negotiate offers with candidates
  • Ensure compliance with all requirements for the AAP plan including appropriate dispositioning of all candidates per federal contractor requirements
  • Represent company at various hiring events as needed
Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • Ability to effectively utilize email, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience
  • Strong understanding of EEO laws as related to hiring and federal contractor requirements
  • 1 + year of experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment and/or in an environment with high volume hiring needs
